We manufacture all our chalkboards from traditional wood. The 3 different of wood are- 6mm oil tempered hardboard, 6mm MR MDF and 3mm hardboard.

6MM Oil Tempered Hardboard

Any chalkboard manufactured from 6mm oil tempered hardboard receives at least 3 coats of paint and is fully suitable for exterior use

The chalkboard paint gives these chalkboards and slightly rough surface which gives them a great writing surface for both traditional chalk and liquid chalk.

6MM MR MDF

Theses chalkboards recieve 3 coats of paint either side and are partialy suitable for exterior use.

3MM Standard Hardboard

These chalkboards receive 2 coats of paint and are suitable for interior use only.

They are suitable for liquid chalk and the slightly rough surface our chalkboard paint gives also makes them suitable for traditional chalk.

All our chalkboards are best cleaned with the chalkboard cleaner that we sell and a smooth cloth- please do not use any abrasive material as this could result in scratching of the chalkboard.
